My name is Amman and welcome to my blog site. I am an MA student studying Screenwriting on a part-time distance learning basis at Bournemouth University.

The purpose of this site is to record all my journal entries of my visits to Emirates Stadium – Arsenal Football Ground. Our first major assignment is to write a 30mins screenplay which explores our individual observational research pieces. The idea is that our chosen place should be represented as an arena. Our characters should or could be symbols that are external / internal symbols that represent our chosen arena.

The emphasis of the writing is to focus on visual writing i.e. tell the story using pictures with minimum dialogue. However, I want to marry the two because in order to develop my writing I feel that strong visual countered with good dialogue will make a more interesting piece that I hope will be more satisfying to read – I hope!

My research that appears here is more artistic than intellectual so please bear this mind if you find yourself totally confused and baffled by my mad ramblings which are unedited.

Oh, and I’m a Gooner (…I support Arsenal)
